Maradyne CorporationMaradyne's story begins with an engineer, Ted Berger.
Together, Ted and his mother-in-law, Mary Siemer, began manufacturing hydraulic cylinders for the trucking industry in a four-story building on Barberton Road in Cleveland, Ohio, where Marion Manufacturing was born. -
Original facilitiesThe first and second floors consisted of the first divisions that Marion Manufacturing would establish - Marion cylinders, AOM air-assist power clutches, Maradyne fuel meters and power window lifts. The first floor was used for the machine shop, shipping department, and cylinder assembly testing, while the second floor was used for cylinder inventory and assembly of power clutches, fuel meters, and window lifts.

Name the companyIn the early 1980s, Maradyne was established in the same Barberton Avenue building as Marion Manufacturing, and the Maradyne name was coined on behalf of Ted Berger's wife, Marilyn, and her mother, Mary Siemer.

Growth and expansion
The current “holding company” name, Dreison, meaning three sons, was originally created as a holding company for Marion Manufacturing and Maradyne. Shortly thereafter, Marion Manufacturing was merged into Maradyne Corporation. To grow the business and manufacturing capabilities, other businesses and product lines were acquired and integrated into Maradyne's facilities, with the first business acquired by Maradyne Corporation being Turbo Precleaners in 1984.
More recently, UORVA was acquired in May 2013 and SuperTrapp and DCM Manufacturing were formed as separate companies from Maradyne Corporation, and today Maradyne Corporation, Von Weise, Super Trapp and DCM Manufacturing make up Dreison International.In 2002, the company moved to a single-story facility on West 160th Street in Cleveland.
In 2016, after 30+ years, Marion Fluid Power (MFP, OHIO) acquired Filtration Products Corp (FPC, MIN), and the merger of the two companies created the Maradyne Fluid Power Group as a “one-stop shop” for all hydraulic system and component needs.The product portfolio includes all the accessories needed for any hydraulic circuit.
Inventory includes gear pumps, filters and assemblies, ball valves, pipe clamps, breather, strainers, flow control and specialty valves, gauges, indicators and off-the-shelf and made-to-order reservoirs.
